Airput Solidifies Senior Management Team and Advisory
Board
Norristown, PA -- January 9, 2001 -- Airput, the
first vertical application mobilizer for business-critical
field operations, introduced its senior management team
and announced its advisory board that includes leaders in
the fields of Internet technology and corporate
operations.
"We are very excited and proud of our management
team and the strong advisory board that has come on board
to help us grow our company. They have been instrumental
in supporting our upcoming launch of AirHours in
February," said Rick O'Brien, Airput's CEO and
Co-founder. AirHours is Airput's first wireless Web
solution that allows field-based personnel to enter and
receive time-critical timesheet and project information,
using Internet-enabled wireless devices and PC-based
Internet browsers.
Members of the advisory board include:
- Stephen M. Goodman - Morgan, Lewis and Bockius LLP
Goodman, the preeminent legal council for Internet
business in the Philadelphia area, will provide Airput
with the legal support, business advice and key
contacts that the company needs to meet its aggressive
business objectives. Goodman has a proven record of
success with high-tech start-ups having worked closely
with companies such as VerticalNet, CDNow and ICG
Commerce.
- Mel Baiada - CEO/President - Sengen, Inc. As one of
New Jersey's most successful technology entrepreneurs,
Baiada is responsible for the mission and vision of
Sengen and the firm's commitment to innovation and
responsibility in business. In 1989 Baiada founded
Bluestone, Inc. to provide technology experience to
Fortune 1000 companies and government agencies. This
multi-million dollar company was on the list of the
top 500 fastest-growing, privately held companies for
three straight years. Later Bluestone divided in
Bluestone Consulting, which evolved into Sengen, and
Bluestone Software, which was recently acquired by
Hewlett Packard. Baiada will provide Airput with
valuable advice related to the company's technical and
business direction.
- Ian J. Berg - Managing Director - Eastern Technology
Fund As Managing Director of Eastern Technology Fund,
a venture fund that provides seed capital for
seed-stage Internet and technology companies and
feeder fund for Safeguard (NYSE: SFE) and PA Early
Stage, Berg brings to Airput strong experience in the
areas of strategic funding and financial management.
Prior to establishing Eastern Technology Fund, Berg
founded and served as President and CEO of Copelco
Financial Services Group. When he left Copelco in
1999, it had amassed over $5 billion in assets, with
over 1,600 employees and $500 million in revenues in
the United States, Canada and Europe.
- Terry Williams - CEO - T. Williams Consulting
Williams founded and runs T. Williams Consulting, a
national leader in strategic and tactical staffing
services. He has twenty years of experience consulting
with Fortune 500 companies as well as start-ups.
Williams is working with Airput providing assistance
in strategic planning and resource related issues.
- John G. Alfieri - Vice President, Business
Development - Giganet, Inc. Alfieri brings to Airput
eighteen years of sales management and distribution
experience in the high technology arena. Prior to
Giganet, Alfieri held the position of President of
American Sales and Service for Dialogic, where he was
instrumental in developing its sales organization.
Alfieri is working with Airput to help define
strategic direction and sales/marketing strategies to
support the launch of the company's initial products.
- David Brodie - Senior Vice President - Wohlsen
Construction Company. His twenty years experience in
the construction business makes Brodie a valuable
asset to Airput. His understanding of the construction
industry operations requirements has already helped
the company shape the AirHours application and
business model.
- William Siegenthaler - Vice President - Villanova
Capital As COO of Villanova Capital, an independent
asset management firm, Siegenthaler works to serve the
needs of institutional investors. Siegenthaler has a
strong financial management background and is helping
Airput with strategic planning involved with financial
issues.
Along with O'Brien, Airput's senior management team
includes Jim Wolsky, Chief Operating Officer and
Co-founder, and David Foltz, Director of
Operations/Controller.

O'Brien brings to Airput 19 years of management, sales
and marketing experience in a number of high-tech fields.
His experience founding and running several technology
driven start-up companies has been a paramount asset to
Airput's growth. As former CEO and President of PCvoice,
Rick was involved in the development, marketing and sale
of patented, digital voice hardware and software products.
Wolsky provides Airput with the solid engineering and
engineering management skills it needs to develop and
support new wireless Internet solutions. Prior to Airput,
Wolsky had founded and successfully managed Versatile
Concepts, a software engineering firm whose client base
included Intel, DuPont, Xerox and Comcast Cellular.
Foltz, who holds a MBA degree from the Wharton School
of the University of Pennsylvania, brings to Airput his
expertise in management, consulting, and customer service.
As the former Director of Customer Service for U.S Water,
Foltz was involved in the application design and
implementation of the entire customer service function.
